Flashback Friday: Zurich

Back in 2006 I had the privilege of visiting one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to since starting my travels. Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland and is located centrally in the country right on the tip of Lake Zurich.  I met friends there for the weekend by taking a train from Vienna, Austria to Zurich. I arrived at 6am, and it was so nice to walk around the city before it became bustling.  The city is super clean and the buildings are gorgeous; I felt as if I had landed in Utopia! Check out some of the highlights from my trip below:
Beautiful view of the city with the mountains boarding the lake

 Fun Mime on the street

The people in Zurich were a mix of trendy, affluent, and athletic. They took over the park we were in to catch some rays. I took advantage of the weather myself and tried to work on my tan too!

We hiked up a tower to get a panoramic view of the city. Wish I had a better camera back them to capture the views better.

Crystal clear water running right through the city.
Sail Boats Galore!

Mom and Dad- if you're reading this entry can we please get one of these for Christmas this year. I think our family needs one!

A garden clock- gotta love this one horticultural lovers!

Fresh flowers at the farmers market! There is nothing better than fresh cut flowers.

Our crew enjoying the beautiful weather

Zurich had some of the most beautiful architecture I had ever seen. I loved all of the buildings and cafés throughout the city!

Zurich is stunning at night as well as during the day. The city was so picturesque no matter what time of the day.

It is so hard to capture the beauty of Zurich in words, but hopefully these pictures provided a glimpse of what I was able to experience during my last trip there. I love Switzerland! The chocolate, the people, the swizz franc, and come on- they're neutral! The Swiss have it right in my opinion and it is a country I would love to move to one day. Until next time, I'll see you on the internet.
