I found out a few months ago that I was going to be featured in the University of Edinburgh's Science and Engineering Admissions Magazine. Not only was I selected for a Q & A piece, but The Road Less Traveled Blog is going to be in the article! I never imagined when I started this blog back in September that it would be mentioned in a magazine circulated to more than 4,000+ people, but I am so excited to get my message out to any interested readers. This morning I woke up early for my photo shoot with a professional photographer. I have never had professional photos taken, so I was excited about playing model for a day. The sun was out, and after the photographer set up his equipment we began to get things started. First the photographer had to take around 50 test shots to make sure the lighting was right. He wanted me to practice different poses to make sure he could get a good shot.
You may think posing and smiling for an hour is an easy thing to do, but believe me it's not as easy as it looks. It was so embarrassing especially with all of the students and my colleagues walking by on their way into work.
The photographer chose St. Leonard's as my backdrop since it's the building I work in. I was constantly being told to keep my chin up, give a big smile, flip my hair, and look gorgeous. I could get use to this!
I can't wait to see the finished product. I really hope the photographer got a good shot!
Can you believe I get paid to do this job?!
Once the magazine is published I will post a link so you can see the final product.
Until next time, I will see you on the internet.
